Partecipated projects

His main research field is earthquake geotechnical engineering and cover a wide range of topics: soil dynamics, local seismic response, seismic liquefaction, dynamic soil-structure interaction, lifeline systems, seismic slope stability, earthquake-induced settlements, seismic microzonation.

He collaborated with many other Italian Universities and he has been involved in several research projects promoted and supported by scientific research institutes of the Italian Research Council (CNR), the Ministry for the University and Scientific and Technological Research (MURST), the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), the “Autorità di Bacino del Fiume Po” (ADBPO), and several Italian Administrations (Florence Municipality, Emilia Romagna, Marche, Toscana and Umbria Regions).
